PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire shutter which prevents the whole weight of a shutter curtain from being put on a person even when the person is caught between the lowering shutter curtain and a floor surface. SOLUTION: In a fire shutter having a constitution wherein a shutter curtain lowers while being guided by guide rails provided upright on both right and left sides of an opening part, and closes wholly the opening part, a seat plate 4 provided at the lower end of the shutter curtain is composed of an upper seat plate 4A and a lower seat plate 4B which is movable vertically in relation to the upper seat plate 4A. Stoppers 7 bearing the weight of the shutter at a position where the opening part is wholly closed are provided and the lower seat plate 4B is made movable upward even when the opening part is wholly closed.
