PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent a printing failure which makes the directions of already printed contents and that of freshly recorded recording contents different. SOLUTION: When an image reading execution instruction of a recording surface in a normal set direction is executed from a manipulation part display section 7, a recording paper surface image reading section 9 is driven and the already printed image flush with the recording surface of the recording paper is read and is stored in a RAM 3. If a recording operation execution instruction is thereafter executed, the front face write (address) print data of etching recording paper is received from an external information processing device 11. The recording paper surface image reading section 9 is driven to store the image on the recording surface of the postcard set in a paper feed section into the RAM 3. A CPU 1, thereafter, compares the already read reference image and the image data read this time. If the recording paper is judged to be set in a normal direction as a result thereof, the print action is started and, otherwise, the print action is not started and an error message is displayed on the manipulation part display section 7. |
