PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use different kinds of rechargeable batteries in a single electronic equipment by disabling the connection of a second terminal for charging with a first charger terminal of a first charger which is provided with the first charger terminal by making it connectable with a first terminal for charging to charge a first rechargeable battery. SOLUTION: Charging from a first charger and the output of a thermistor are transmitted via a charger terminal 211 fitted into only a terminal for charging 202 of a rechargeable battery 2. The shape of a charger terminal 211 is made larger than a first charger terminal so as to disable the connection of the first charger terminal with the terminal for charging 202. As a result, the first charger is connected in charging of the rechargeable battery 2 having a nickel-hydrogen battery and forcible charging rechargeable due, regardless of a temperature output from the rechargeable battery 2, to charging time is prevented. Conversely, a nickel-cadmium battery cell is charged by a charger 210 and a state in which the charger 210 is not capable of detecting a temperature output by the thermistor and is charged by high voltage for a long time is prevented.
