PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an automatic stopping operation of an automatic transmission car by a stepping degree of a brake pedal by providing a logic means for automatically stopping an internal combustion engine when detected pressure of a brake pressure sensor is in a brake pressure range for stopping a traveling vehicle and detected pressure exceeds prescribed pressure fixed time after speed becomes zero. SOLUTION: A logic means 11 of a control circuit 10 takes in pressure of a brake pressure sensor 2 and a speed sensor 4, detected pressure of the brake pressure sensor 2 is in a brake pressure range for stopping a vehicle and whether or no brake pressure detected after the elapse of fixed time from a point of time when speed shows zero exceeds prescribed pressure is decided. If the detected pressure exceeds prescribed pressure, it is regarded that a driver intends to automatically stop an internal combustion engine and performs a braking operation, a fuel supply is stopped and the internal combustion engine is stopped. As a result, an automatic stopping operation of an automatic transmission car can be performed by a stepping degree of a brake pedal.
