PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining device capable of moving and adjusting the receiving section of a retaining tool at a low cost. SOLUTION: In a mounting box 1, collar plates sections 5, 5 are formed to the upper and lower sections of a box section, in which a front is opened, and slots 6, 6 in the vertical direction are formed to the collar plate sections 5, 5, and a tapped hole 7 is shaped between the box section and the collar plate section 5 in the lower section. In a retaining tool 2, an intermediate section is pushed in a stepped shape and bent in a double-level shape, a lower section is used as a mounting section 8 and an upper section as a receiving section 9, the receiving section 9 is pulled slightly from one surface (a surface) of the mounting section 8 (minus 1 mm) and projected slightly from the other surface (a rear) (plus 1 mm), and size from the front of a face plate 3 to the rear of the receiving section 9 differs in 2 mm when the surface is directed in a front and when the rear is directed in a front when the whole is assembled. A hole 10, into which a screw 4 is penetrated, is formed to the mounting section 8.
