The cryogenic reservoir wall panel (2) has inner and outer skins (6,4) which enclose a honeycomb type structure (8) which is thermally insulating and maintained under vacuum. Individual cells of the structure are permeable and have holes (18) which enable gas to pass from cell to cell in case of leakage in the wall. The integrity of the wall panel vacuum is permanently monitored by a sensor (10)
