PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document analysis system which analyzes a document in a paper medium publication and holds it as document data corresponding to an SGML document. SOLUTION: A computer 7 of a document analysis system 1 is provided with a document reader 5, a document structure index data base 9, a keyword index data base 11, a document structure pattern data base 13 and a document data base with an index. A text of a document 3 read by the document reader 5 or a text read from a floppy disk 12 has a document structure index and a keyword index attached and is stored in a document data base with an index as document data. |
