PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to simply and precisely adjust a beam of a scanning device for scanning with the beam. SOLUTION: This adjusting apparatus of a scanning device is an apparatus for adjusting a beam scanned from the scanning device 2 in a straight line, and has a plane part 1s corresponding to the plane to be scanned, and a reference straight line 11, which is a reference of the scanning line, is formed on the plane part 1s by color-coding of two different hues. Moreover, in an adjusting method of the scanning device the plane part 1s is scanned with a beam from the scanning device 2, and the scanning device is adjusted to be in a state in which the light reflected by the plane part 1s becomes a synthesized color of the two colors.
