PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding equipment capable of realizing superior welding at low cost and also of attaining miniaturization. SOLUTION: The equipment is provided with a voltage detecting means that detects and monitors a welding voltage between a welding rod 1 and the ground and with a moving means 3 that moves the welding rod 1 forward and backward to a welding zone based on a signal from the voltage detecting means, actuating the moving means 3 based on the welding voltage that fluctuates in accordance with a distance between the tip end part of the welding rod 1 and the welding zone, and the equipment is thereby structured so that the distance between the welding rod 1 and the weld zone is constantly maintained at the optimum value.
