PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct stop for winding at the time of winding a spring to output torque within a set range all the time, even in a timepiece having a small component-arranging space inside such as a watch. SOLUTION: This timepiece moves hands by mechanical energy of a spiral spring transmitted via a wheel train 13, and is provided with a winding part 30 for accumulating energy in the spring, an adding-subtracting wheel train 50 for adding and subtracting a winding amount and a rewinding amount for the spring, an adding-subtracting wheel 52 transmitted with added-subtracted torque, and a winding locking mechanism 70 operated interlockingly with rotation of the wheel 52 when the spring is wound upto a prescribed winding number or more, to lock a winding wheel train 50a, out of the wheel train 50, to which the torque at the time of winding is transmitted or/and a winding part 30 for stopping of the winding. Since the wheel train 50 is used, a space is utilized efficiently to allow integration for a watch.
