HYDRAULIC MIXTURE HARDENING RETARDER AND TREATMENT OF SURFACE OF HARDENED BODY WITH THE RETARDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hardening retarder for the surface of a hydraulic mixture by which the outline of the periphery of a part subjected to the retardation of hardening (surface-roughened part) is made clear under a uniform depth of a part to be subjected to the retardation of hardening and to treat the surface of a hardened body with the hardening retarder. SOLUTION: This hardening retarder contains a crosslinked body obtd. by crosslinking a polymer having >=60 mgKOH/g acid value and insoluble in neutral water and acidic water through covalent bonds as an essential component. The surface of a hardened body is treated as follows; the hardening retarder is brought into contact with at least a part of the surface of an unhardened hydraulic mixture, the hydraulic mixture is cured for hardening while retarding the hardening of the surface part and the unhardened part in the surface of the resultant hardened body is washed out.
