PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel filter without the suction performance of its fuel pump being deteriorated even when a space between an opening face in a bag as the suction side of the fuel pump and the inner side face of a bag opposed to the opening face is small. SOLUTION: This fuel filter A is provided on the suction side 40' of a fuel pump C set in a fuel tank B, and the filter A has a bag 10 consisting of a filter cloth material E and a cylinder 20 provided in the bag 10 to communicate the inside of the bag 10 with the suction side 40' of the pump C and a shape holding frame 30 of the bag 10 extending into the bag 10 from the inner side of the bag 10 in the cylinder 20 and further has a plate 34 in face contact with the inner side face 10c of the bag 10 in front of an opening 20a in front of the opening 20a of the cylinder 20 in the bag.
