PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric discharge machining method and an electric discharge machining device heightening sludge discharge performance during electric discharge machining so as to shorten time for a work process and attain efficiency. SOLUTION: When voltage pulse is applied between a machining electrode 10 and a machined workpiece 2 in a working fluid 150 to carry out electric discharge machining, the working fluid 150 is sucked or injected by pressure application into a through hole 20 during electric discharge machining from either one of the machined side 201 and the opposite side 202 to the machined side 201 of the workpiece 2.
