<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the temperature of cooling water from excessively rising, by compensating the control variable of a variable displacement turbo-charger in accordance with a temperature of cooling water in an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: If a temperature of cooling water, an engine speed, a fuel injection quantity, a rising rate of a temperature of cooling water, exceed their set values, respectively (S12 to S15), a target intake air quantity is compensated for decrease with a high water temperature coefficient HIWQ1 until the rising speed of the temperature of cooling water is lowered to a set value Dtw2 (S20 to 17), and the intake air quantity is clamped at thus compensated target value. After the temperature of cooling water becomes not more than the set value Tw2, the control is made such that the target intake air quantity gradually approaches the target value (S24 to S27).</p> |
