<p>Method of and apparatus for testing motor vehicle gearboxes on a test bench, wherein the gearbox is coupled to a drive shaft by means of a coupling comprising a polygonal shaft-shaped body and a connecting member with an internal polygonal-shaped cross section for slidably accommodating the polygonal shaft-shaped body. A resilient biasing element is provided for urging the connecting member axially upward in a vertical direction toward the shaft-shaped body. This allows a simple and fast installation on the gearbox to be tested on the bench.</p> |
