A personal post office box system using a telephone line is disclosed. The system according to the present invention includes a post office box connected with a telephone line jack for receiving a certain telephone call, switchcontrolling a load in accordance with a signal inputted via the telephone line jack, storing a certain telephone number from a caller, recording a certain voice message by the caller and informing a message arrival to a subscriber, and a switching unit for switching an input power supplied to a plurality of loads in accordance with a control of the post office box, for thereby remotely controlling an ON/OFF operation of a switch with respect to a certain load via a telephone line, automatically answering a call from a certain caller, automatically informing a recorded message to a subscriber and performing a voice post office box service which is generally provided by a telephone service provider.
