<p>An image correction device (1) comprises an image reader (3), a memory (4), a central processor (2) and an image output device (5). The image correction device (1) reads a document locally wrinkled or having ridges at seams in opposite direction in top and bottom parts using the image reader (3). A program executed on the central processor (2) corrects the geometrical distortion and irregular brightness of the input image caused by the angle formed between the top and bottom edges of the document and the document plate, and restores a flat document image.</p> |
