An oil space heater comprises a CO sensor, a room temperature sensor, a microcomputer controller, a microcomputer-controlled power supply battery, and an emergency shut-off device having a set switch for sensing the set state and a solenoid for actuating the emergency shut-off device. The microcomputer controller raises a CO alarm when the CO concentration is over a preset value, and a temperature alarm when the room temperature is over a sensing alarm temperature, and generates solenoid drive output pulse signals continuously when either the CO or temperature alarm is raised so as to restrict the restart of operation of the oil space heater after automatic flame extinction and to prevent an oxygen deficiency accident. Only when the CO sensor, room temperature sensor, microcomputer controller, and battery voltage are all normal, ignition by an ignition mechanism is possible.
|
