The suspension carrier for a carrier pin in a carpet conveyor has a support plate with a cut out in its upper end to receive the pin. The plate has a locking arm to selectively engage the shaft end. The bearing of the locking arm (3) is laterally adjacent to the cut out (6) in the carrier. The locking arm is rotated into a release position by a spring (5). It is supported in the locking position for fixed engagement with the carrier.
