The pump has a rotor in a casing. The rotor has vanes which can be moved along radial slots. A cam ring fits concentrically round the rotor. There is at least one chamfer (2) running along the running track edge of the cam ring (1) or along the running track itself. There may be two or four such chamfers in the case of a two-way-stroke pump.
