PURPOSE:To enhance photographic characteristics without using any surfactant by suspension polymerizing a polymerizable monomer in the presence of a colorant and/or a magnetic powder in a nonaqueous solvent. CONSTITUTION:The monomer is suspension polymerized in the nonaqueous solvent by dissolving or dispersing a polymerization initiator, the colorant and/or the magnetic powder in advance and when needed, a toner characteristics enhancing agent in the monomer, adding this liquid mixture into the nonaqueous solvent into which a dispersion stabilizer has been added, when necessary, and raising the temperature of the mixture with stirring, thus permitting the obtained toner to be enhanced in humidity resistance and various photographic characteristics without using any surfactant. |
