<p>Diuretic saluretic metanilic acid derivs. Cpds. of the formula and their salts and esters: where A is phenoxy, phenylthio or anilino opt. substd.; R1 and R2 are 1-6C aliphatic radicals, satd. or unsatd., or mononuclear aryl (1-3C) alkyl radicals; n is 0 - 2; are diuretic and saluretic agents which do not inhibit carbonic anhydrase. Prepn. is from a 3-nitro-4-halo-5-chlorosulphonyl benzoic acid.</p> |
