<p>A reusable satellite system which returns has a return-flight device as well as an acceleration and positioning device. The return-flight device provides the acceleration and orbit insertion and, furthermore, functional services in orbit for carrying the payload, leaving the orbit, reentry (into the earth's atmosphere) and landing on a runway. The acceleration and positioning device is mounted on a carrier aircraft and is fitted with the return-flight device. The carrier aircraft positions the acceleration and positioning device in a desired first position, where the acceleration and positioning device is removed from the carrier aircraft. After this, the acceleration and position device positions the return-flight device in a second position, where the return-flight device can be separated from the acceleration and positioning device. The second position is such that the return-flight device can achieve a desired orbital trajectory.</p> |
