The ski or snowboard has a sole (2) with optional metal edges (3) and reinforcing layer (4), an inner core (5) and an upper shell (6). It incorporates at least one vibration damper (12) located on one side between the lower edge and the upper shell. Each vibration damper is between 50 and 300 mm long, tapering from the middle to both ends, and the upper shell's edge is recessed to accommodate it. A variant can have vibration dampers on both sides.
