PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery that can provide high capacity for a long time by avoiding problems such as the slip of a negative electrode active material attributable to the degradation of a binder. SOLUTION: In relation to a lithium secondary battery composed by facing a sheet-like negative electrode 2 to a sheet-like positive electrode 1 through a separator 3 in an organic electrolyte 4, a feature of this lithium secondary battery is that the negative electrode 2 is composed of a conductive base and a film, that is formed on it and contains a negative electrode active material and a polyolefin resin as a binder. By using the polyolefin resin soluble in a hydrocarbon solvent as the binder of the negative electrode active material, the degradation of the binder in charging can be prevented, problems such as the slip of the negative electrode active material can thereby be avoided, so that the lithium secondary battery of which negative electrode is hardly deteriorated and which can provide high capacity for a long time and its manufacturing method can be provided. |
