PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and low-cost single-transistor high power factor inverter equipment. SOLUTION: An auxiliary winding 34 is installed which is to be wound around an iron core 32 of an inductor 30 for vibration. The auxiliary winding 34 is inserted in series with a rectifying power supply 10. The voltage polarity of the auxiliary winding 34 is so set that the half-wave voltage formed during an ON period of a switching element 40 may have the same polarity as the rectifying power supply 10. By specifying the polarity of the auxiliary winding 34, the backward voltage of the inductor 30 for vibration can be used. Since the backward voltage is higher than the forward voltage, the number of turns of the auxiliary winding 34 is reduced when the backward voltage is used. The forward voltage can also be used, however, in such a case, the auxiliary winding 34 works on the subtractive polarity and excessive current is allowed to flow. Furthermore, the use of the forward voltage is not practical since a thick iron core 32 is necessary. |
