PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect privacy about a calling telephone number received by a slave unit manager and a master unit manager by displaying/storing received calling telephone number data only on the slave unit when it corresponds only to the slave unit. SOLUTION: A controller 1 of a master unit A retrieves a telephone directory table of a storage device 9 based on acquired calling telephone number data, stores the calling telephone number data that is temporarily stored in a buffer for history storage in the device 9 when a terminal to be accessed is the master unit and gives an instruction of a ringing tone output to a speaker 6 of the unit A by synchronizing an external line incoming signal received through a network controller 2. A slave unit receives the calling telephone number data from the unit A, temporarily stores it in a working area of a storage device and transmits a receive confirmation signal to the unit A. The received calling telephone number data is stored in the buffer for history storage in the storage device, an instruction of a ringing tone output is given to a speaker of the slave unit and the calling telephone number is shown by a displaying device.
