The prefabricated wood planks for a boat deck, with expansion joints (D), uses the separate planks (L) laid without contact with each other. They are bonded together by an expansion joint material. The under side of the wood deck is covered with a plastics carrier board (K) with glass fiber reinforcement, resin-bonded boards or other water-resistant materials to hold the deck together.
