<p>A horizontal, fixed drum has its feed hopper located off centre at the top, so that the heavier material falls straight down between a curved baffle plate and the side of the drum, into a compartment below. A horizontal bladed rotor which circulates air around the inside, carries the lighter material upwards and around the inside, to pass through a slit along the bottom and enter another compartment alongside the first compartment.</p> |
