PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which correct positional relationship can be ensured in the height direction of an ink ejection plane, a cap part and a wiper blade. SOLUTION: A supporting member, i.e., a stay member 5, is secured to a body side plate 6 by stopping a member 5a spot welded to a part of the stay member 5 thereto by means of a screw 7. The stay member 5 extends along the reciprocating direction of a carriage 3, i.e., the main scanning direction, and has a length substantially equal to that of a carriage rail 4. The carriage 3 has a plane 42 for fixing a print head 2 designed to ensure dimensional accuracy with reference to the center of the carriage rail 4. |
