(A) Cpds. of general formula (I) - R and R1=H, lower alkyl, lower Oalkyl, or hal - R2=lower alkyl - (B) Salts of (I). - a) Anti-inflammatories. - b) B1-type vitamins. I are better absorbed than thiamine HCl and are longer active. They are also active p.o. LD50 > 800 mg/kg. Dose 5-1000 mg.
