PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for oral cavity capable of effectively suppressing fixation of Streptococcus mutans in oral cavity, having high dental plaque-suppressing effect and useful as dentifrice such as tooth paste, mouth wash, etc., by including pearl powder and dextranase. SOLUTION: This composition for oral cavity comprises (A) preferably 0.1-10 wt.% pearl powder having 0.01-20μm average particle diameter and (B) preferably 0.05-5 wt.% dextranase. A material obtained by pulverizing pearl layer or pearl of Pinctada funcata martensii, Margaritifera margrilifer, etc., which is a natural product can be used as the component A. Dextranase, etc., obtained by well-known method using well-known dextranase-producing bacterium belonging to the genus Chaetomium, Penicillium, etc., can be used as the component B.
