PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an effective agent and a composition for cleaning an exhaust gas, especially an exhaust gas originating from combustion, smelting, melting or sintering and especially an effective agent for separating an organic or an inorganic injurious material, e.g. a dioxin, furan, heavy metals and especially mercury. SOLUTION: The agent for cleaning an exhaust gas is a mixture of a dried and pulverized aluminosilicate component and one kind or plural kinds of powder additive, and the content of the aluminosilicate component is 40 mass % or more. These drugs contain an additive which binds a lime product and/or mercury, e.g. a drub containing sulfur, for example, fulfide and/or a mercapto-S- triazine.
