<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle a coated plastic by easy operations at a low cost and in high separation efficiency by coarsely crushing a plastic molded product coated with a polyurethane-based coating and subsequently immersing the crushed product in a specific alcohol. SOLUTION: This method for recycling a coated plastic comprises coarsely crushing a plastic molded product produced by coating the surface of a substrate comprising ABS, PS, PVC and a mixture comprising two or more of the plastics with a polyurethane-based coating, immersing the coarsely crushed product in an alcohol (preferably methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol or propyl alcohol) having a boiling point of 60-120 deg.C and heated in the range of from a temperature lower by 30 deg.C than the boiling point to the boiling point, finely crushing the immersed plastic product, drying the finely crushed product naturally or with hot air, further finely crushing the dried product, and subsequently separating the coating film pieces by the use of a wind power separator. The average diameters of the coarsely crushed product and the finely crushed product are preferably >=10 mm and 1-10 mm, respectively. The coating film pieces and the substrate resin are thus preferably separated from each other by the use of the wind power separator utilizing a difference between the air resistance of the coating film pieces and the air resistance of the substrate resin to recover the substrate.</p> |
