The radio or TV receiver (100) includes a time display. It has an internal receiver tuned to the frequency of signals sent by an official time transmitter and it is provided with a decoder coupled to a display of, in the case of a TV receiver, to a circuit that makes the time visible on the screen. A battery-drive clock may be incorporated that is driven by the signals received from the time transmitter. The clock may be a quartz crystal digital type.
