PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly use dots in consideration of ink duty restriction in a printer capable of forming dots different in density and diameter. SOLUTION: A printer is equipped with a head having two kinds of light and shade inks with respect to at least one color and capable of forming dots having large and small diameters. In order to maintain ink duty restriction on the basis of inputted image data, the amt. of ink per a unit area to be emitted with respect to each color is set by a table having correlation mutually. Next, a way to generate respective dots different in diameter so as to approach the amt. of the ink actually emitted at every color is determined. By this constitution, dots different in density and diameter can be properly used while keeping ink duty restriction. |
