PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a glass paste composition capable of forming glass sintered compact (dielectric layer of PDP) excellent in surface smoothness and colorless transparency and a glass paste composition capable of preferably using for production of transfer film and a glass paste composition capable of producing a transfer film excellent in transferring property of a film-forming material layer. SOLUTION: This glass paste composition comprises glass powder, a binding resin and a solvent, and the average particle diameter of the glass powder is 0.5-3μm and the particle diameter distribution of the glass powder satisfies the following conditions (1) and (2): (1) A ratio of particles whose particle diameters are >=10μm is <=10 wt.% and (2) a ratio of particles whose particle diameters are in the range of 0.7-2.5μm is >=40 wt.%.
