PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording apparatus equipped with a manifold capable of ensuring good air bubble discharge properties and reducing the number of times of purge treatment thereafter in purge treatment performed just after the replacement of an ink cartridge and capable of reducing the number of times of purge treatment thereafter. SOLUTION: An ink jet recording apparatus wherein an ink jet head 31 having a large number of jet channels provided thereto in an arranged state and a manifold 40 having an ink supply passages 43 mutually connecting the ink jet head 31 and an ink cartridge to supply the ink of the ink cartridge to a large number of the jet channels 33 are provided and each ink supply part 43 has the connection part 44 connected to the ink supply passage 43 and the tapered expanded part 45 widen from the connection part 44 continuously to surround an ink supply port 33a and the inner surface of the expanded part 45 is curved so as to inwardly protrude on the side of the connection part 44 and also curved so as to outwardly protrude on the side of the ink jet head 31. |
