Heating element for a liquid gas pressure regulator has a heating element resistance (2) with a known resistance temperature characteristic which on attainment of a certain temperature greatly reduces the heating. The resistance (2) is fused into a housing (1) with an inlet for the electrical supply. The housing (1) is fixed to the regulator using springs and further between the housing (1) and the housing of the gas regulator is a heat conducting paste. One of more such resistances (2) may be connected in series to provide heating of the regulator. The resistance (2) is fixed in the housing (1) via an inlet (7).
