WATER-BASED PRIMER COMPOSITION FOR FLUORORESIN COATING

A water-based primer composition for fluororesin coating which is obtained by dispersing a polyethersulfone, a poly(amide-imide) and/or a polyimide, and a fluororesin in water and in which the proportion of the polyethersulfone to the poly(amide-imide) and/or polyimide is 85/15 to 65/35 by weight and the proportion of the sum of the polyethersulfone and the poly(amide-imide) and/or polyimide to the fluororesin is 15/85 to 35/65 by weight. The primer composition has excellent adhesion to metal bases and gives a coating film which has a high degree of freedom of color tone and is excellent in corrosion resistance and steam resistance. The primer causes no environmental problem and has excellent applicability.
