<p>Materias e.g. plants and grasses, skin of cats, dogs, horses, antibiotics are mixed with an extraction fluid e.g. water and a basic nitrogen-containing organic solvent, such as pyridine. The fluid is then separated from insoluble material, and evaporated to leave the antigens in a dry, stable powdery form. The antigens are useful for desensitising e.g. in hay-fever and asthma.</p> |
