<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous binding device, by which an edge part of a strip or sheet to be welded can be surely bound at a position adjacent to a welding point and an even welding seam can be obtained without adding structural or dimensional restrictions to a laser welding equipment. SOLUTION: This device for binding an edge part of an adjacent strip or sheet, comprises a work roll 3a which is divided into two in a width direction of the strip or sheet at the binding position and disposed via a gap, a pair of two backup rolls 5 and 6 for pushing the work roll towards the strip or sheet face, and a fixing roll arranged at a position opposed to the work roll across the strip or sheet. In this case, a laser beam to be radiated is designed to pass through a clearance between two backup rolls and a gap between the divided work rolls.</p> |
