<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a display having high visual recognition by providing a portable information terminal with a horizontal rectangular screen long in the horizontal direction and a vertical rectangular screen long in the vertical direction and selecting the horizontal rectangular screen or the vertical rectangular screen in accordance with an information display format. SOLUTION: This portable information terminal is provided with 1st and 2nd rectangular display devices 11, 12 having the same shape. The display device 11 is provided with a horizontal rectangular screen 13 long in the horizontal direction and the display device 12 is provided with a vertically/horizontally switching rectangular screen 14. The 1st and 2nd display devices 11, 12 are mutually connected openably and closeably. The device 12 is switched between a 1st display position crossing rectangularly to the device 11 and a 2nd display position arranged in parallel with the device 11. The vertical rectangular screen 14 long in the vertical direction is provided on the 1st display position and the horizontal rectangular screen 14 long in the horizontal direction is provided on the 2nd position. Then, in the case of a horizontal writing display format, the horizontal rectangular screen 13 is selected and in the case of a vertical writing display format, the vertically arranged vertical/horizontal switching rectangular screen 14 is selected.</p> |
