<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic sphygmomanometer capable of automatically measuring blood pressure at an upper arm part in either of right and left arms in which the arm where blood pressure is measured can be automatically determined. SOLUTION: After an upper arm part of an arm is inserted into an arm band 12, a right/left determination means 74 determines that the upper arm part of the right arm is inserted into the arm hand 12 when a pulse wave signal SM detected by a pressure sensor 30 and discriminated by a band-pass filter 42 in a change process of pressed pressure of the arm band 12 exceeds a preset determination reference value, and determins that the upper arm part of the left arm is inserted into the arm band 12 when strength of the pulse wave signal SM is not exceeding the preset determination reference value, thereby the arm where blood pressure is measured can be automatically determined.</p> |
