PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sweetener composition having uses for foods, esp. for a material for producing confectionery such as fondant, jelly, gum, candied fruit, chewing gum, or the like by including iditol in a specific content based on the total weight of dried foods. SOLUTION: This sweetener composition is prepared by including 5-100% iditol based on the total weight of dried foods. On this occasion, it is pref. to include at least one kind of polyol selected from the group consisting of threitol, erythritol, xylitol, arabitol, ribitol, sorbitol, mannitol, maltitol, maltrotrial, maltotetraitol, lactitol, hydrogenated isomaltulose, glycerol, hydrogenated starch hydrolyzate, and sorbitol as the polyol. |
