PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional electric filter excelling in antibacterial property, being high in dust collecting durability, and having excellent deodorizing property, and its production, and an air filter sufficiently delivering the capacity of the functional electret filter. SOLUTION: A photocatalytic filter is formed by depositing a photocatalyst, preferably titanium oxide or zinc oxide, and if necessary, material having affinity to bacteria, preferably calcium phosphate base compounds on air-passable base material or by depositing adsorbent on the air passable material before depositing the photocatalyst thereon. The photocatalyst filter and an electret filter, preferably the photocatalyst filter and the electret filter desirably having a ratio of pressure losses having specified relation are laminated preferably in the presence of a discontinuous high molecular layer between the two, particularly preferably, partially confounded, and furthermore preferably, laminated before subjecting them to static finish, thereby forming a functional electret filter. |
