PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate only arc from an electrode having a low heat conductivity and effectively use it for an incision or coagulating action by constituting at least the tip of the electrode by use of a material having a different heat conductivity every electrode. SOLUTION: The materials of two electrodes 1 and 2 of a tweezers type electrode are formed of a material-having a high heat conductivity such as silver or alloy thereof and a material having a low heat conductivity such as stainless. When a tissue is held between both the electrodes having such structures, and a high frequency voltage is applied thereto, the high frequency current of the cantery knife is carried between both the electrodes, and arc is generated between the electrode and the tissue. In this invention, arc is generated from the stainless electrode having a low work function (when the heat conductivity is low, the temperature is high, and the work function for arc generation is reduced). Accordingly, since the electrode for generating the arc can be determined, a cutting action or coagulating action can be safely performed even when the operation field is narrow, and the field of view is also narrow as an endoscopic operation. |
