PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm whether or not a gesture-inputted editing processing is the desired one and to improve operability. SOLUTION: A locus coordinate obtained from a tablet 32 and an input pen 16 is extracted by a locus coordinate extraction part 33. A locus image is generated based on the locus coordinate in a locus plotting part 34 and supplied to a display 31. Also, by a gesture command judgement part 36, the extracted locus coordinate is collated with a gesture command stored in a gesture command table 37 and the gesture command corresponding to a line plotted by the locus coordinate is recognized. The gesture command as a recognized result and the position information on a character or a character string to be the object of editing recognized based on the locus coordinate are supplied to a text editing part 38. In the constitution, a function for displaying a gesture- inputted editing command name and image information to be the editing object of the command on a screen is provided.
