<p>1276897 Bolts RUBERY OWEN & CO Ltd 23 July 1970 [26 July 1969] 37656/69 Heading E2A In a fastening for the door of a freight container the bolt and the keeper are both formed of sheet metal pressings. The keeper, Figs. 1 and 2, has an overhanging abutment 13 braced by a stay 14 and cranked portion 12 for preventing transverse motion of the bolt. The bolt, Fig. 3, is of folded U-shape and is welded at surfaces 19 to a rotary operating spindle (22). When turned to the fastening position, Fig. 6, the bolt engages the abutment 13 at shoes 23, the limbs 16, 17 embrace the shank of the keeper to prevent vertical play, and its end engages the arm 12.</p> |
