<p>PURPOSE:To introduce a wire-stranded body smoothly and laying a cable smoothly by selecting the stranding pitch of the core wires of an electric cable and the trunk diameter of a taking-up drum in the way a gap G defined by a specified expression becomes external diameter dp of strips to be compounded or narrower. CONSTITUTION:When a composite power cable is coiled on a drum, since a power cable is composed of stranded wires, the cable core becomes deficient in length in the outside circumference and becomes excessive in length in the inside and the deficiency and the excess occur repeatedly and reciprocally. When a gap G defined by an expression I becomes the outer diameter or near the outer diameter dp of strips, dropping of the strips occurs. Consequently, to prevent the stranded strips to be compounded from the standing gap of the electric power cable, the stranding pitch of the core wires of the power cables and the trunk diameter of the drum are so selected as to make the gap G be the outer diameter dp of the strips or smaller. As a result, the core wires of the power cable are prevented from dropping or being loosened.</p> |
